Overview
Jackson Hogg is delighted to be partnering with a manufacturing business to recruit a skilled Financial Controller based in their Durham site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and month-end accounts, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and IFRS.
- Manage day-to-day financial activities, including VAT returns, payroll, reconciliations, and accounts receivable/payable.
- Provide financial analysis to identify operational inefficiencies and support business decision-making.
- Lead external financial reporting processes, including audits, tax compliance, and preparation of financial statements.
- Manage and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Ensure effective internal controls are in place to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key Requirements:
- Professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA) preferred.
- Experience in a financial role within a manufacturing or production environment, with a proven track record in managing financial operations and leading a team.
- Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, IFRS, and statutory compliance, with expertise in financial analysis and reporting.
