Jackson Hogg Procurement division are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a small manufacturing organisation in Birmingham of the appointment of a Procurement Manager. This is a full time and permanent role offering up to £50,000 per annum DOE. The role will be based on site and the working hours are Monday to Friday 08.00-16.30. 

This is a stand alone procurement role so we are looking for a strong negotiator, who enjoys fostering long-term relationships with suppliers and would thrive managing the full procurement spend and making supply chain efficiencies. 

 

Procurement Strategy & Management:

This is an office based, systems management role where an understanding of maintenance functions and processes is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience of Maintenance Planning systems and processes such as and/or including SAP systems. The ideal candidate will be conversant with SAP and Planning systems and have demonstrable experience within a manufacturing environment. Technical background and bias are open. While this is office based, a hands on approach and background in maintenance would be a distinct advantage.

The main scope of this role will be to support their extensive client base operating in the field of material engineering, corrosion and Mechanical Engineering in addition to a UKAS Accredited Inspection body. You will act as a site leader for quality assurance and will play a crucial role in supporting the inspection and NDT teams in reviewing technical documentation to ensure they are complaint in accordance with standards including API 510, 570, 580, 653, EEMUA 159, fired equipment and API 580. This role is full time and permanent and primarily office based with hybrid working on offer. The role will be Monday-Friday with occasional travel required to UK sites.

In this role, you will support the administration of the Accounts Payable process. 
 
Job responsibilities include:

Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.
