David Fletcher

David has been in the recruitment industry for 21 years, specialising in both blue and white-collar positions within the Construction and Built Environment sectors. While his primary focus has been in the North East, he has successfully filled roles across the UK. David began his career by supplying blue-collar trades such as joiners, plant operators, and bricklayers. Over time, he transitioned into white-collar contract recruitment, covering roles like engineers, site managers, and building surveyors, contracts managers among others. He later seized the opportunity to establish a standalone civil engineering division, where he focused on permanent and fixed-term contract recruitment across the North-East, Yorkshire, and North West. David's work spanned a wide range of projects, including new bridges, roads, ports, harbours, and building infrastructure. After 11 successful years in civil engineering recruitment, David joined Jackson Hogg, where he looks after Build and Civil Engineering. David's focus is on providing permanent and contract staffing solutions for both contractors and consultancies, primarily in Production and Engineering. When he's not working, you’ll likely find David outdoors. He enjoys hiking in the Lake District, paddleboarding wherever and whenever I can, and playing football, tennis, or cricket with his 9-year-old son—usually as part of a quest to tire him out!
