Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.

The Role 
Due to company growth, the Supply Chain Manager is a newly created position for the business with the responsibility of managing suppliers and optimising the supply of goods and warehouse operations. Coming into a blank canvas, the Supply Chain Manager will be tasked with shaping and implementing company supply chain processes and procedures, setting measurable KPIs, developing relationships and partnerships with suppliers, driving best supply chain practices and spotting opportunities to drive efficiencies and to add value. 
Leading a small team, the Supply Chain Manager will be hands-on in their approach with the ability to work collaboratively and proactively with the management team to achieve company objectives.

Jackson Hogg is supporting a specialist processing facility in the region in their search for a Maintenance Electrician. This role is based within a busy Manufacturing environment with a focus on strong Electrical competence across general Maintenance and Site equipment.

This is working within a High Hazard, COMAH site and as such experience in this, while not essential, is highly desirable. 
 
The ideal candidate will be a time served electrician and have experience within a heavy industrial or large chemical/processing type operation.  An NVQ Level 3 in electrical maintenance is essential. Additional certifications such as HNC, CompEx, 18th Edition, Inspection & Testing 2391 are highly desired but not essential.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintenance activities across site, mainly focusing on Mechanical breakdowns, repair and maintenance.

This company work at the forefront in the development of the production and use of hydrogen as a fuel for off grid power and beyond, and this is a technical role to determine safety surrounding hydrogen production. The ideal candidate should have experience working with hazardous gases (ideally hydrogen) and have the ability to research unknown topics going back to first principles, legislation, standards and academic research. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and be confident in discussing and defending your process, methods and reporting to colleagues, customers and regulators.
