Jackson Hogg Procurement division are partnering with a growing organisation in Hartlepool on the appointment of a Supply Chain Analyst to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. 

This role is offering circa £30,000-31,000 per annum DOE. We are looking for someone with a high level of numeracy accuracy, high attention to detail, ability to work in a fast paced environment and someone with strong problem solving skills.

The Role:

Reporting to the Procurement Director, the role entails taking the current stock & contract position against market price evaluate the potential risk and opportunities.

	<li>Develop a mutually beneficial relationship with supply partners through regular communication and optimizing processes to ensure suppliers meet performance, quality and cost standards.
	<li>Periodically check supplier documentation ensure approved supplier’s lists are maintained in accordance with ISO standards.

Electronics Buyer

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a global technology business with their appointment of a Junior Manufacturing Chemist at their site in Billingham. Working as part of a small team, the Manufacturing Chemist will be responsible for assisting in the chemical tracer microcapsulation process. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global business, with excellent career development opportunities. 

Key Accountabilities

<ul>
	<li>Assist with the chemical tracer microencapsulation process and manufacture cast products in a variety of formats, in support of the senior manufacturing chemist and the wider Reservoir business.
	<li>Work safely and efficiently to produce tracer materials in line with customer project demands.
	<li>Assist in maintaining stock levels of all required microencapsulated tracer formulations at a sensible level to negate the impact of tracer lead time on delivery timescales.
	<li>Liaise with the Senior Manufacturing Chemist to maintain stocks of raw materials at agreed volumes.
	<li>Contribute to the ongoing improvement of microencapsulation procedures, using chemistry knowledge to gain an in-depth understanding of the processes involved.
	<li>Collaborate with the Senior Manufacturing Chemist in the implementation and scale-up of newly developed production techniques and formulations.
	<li>Aid in the preparation, review, and maintenance of reservoir tracer manufacturing governance frameworks, processes, procedures, safety documents, and documentation in support of the Manufacturing Supervisor.
	<li>Aiding the Senior Manufacturing Chemist in delivering an efficient project workflow, planning concurrent manufacturing projects, and implementing lean processes to maximise lab production.
	<li>To carry out any other duties that are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Essential Requirements

	<li>Experience working in a hands-on laboratory environment (academia or industry).

Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.
