This is a full time and permanent role offering up to £40,000 per annum DOE. This role is based on site 5 days per week.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Fridays 08:30-13:00 but an 08:00 start time can be accommodated.

Project Engineer - Leicester 

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting one the regions best engineering firms on their search for an experienced Principal Engineer with a mechanical bias. 

What you’ll do:

	<li>This is a technical leadership role with responsibility for ensuring all products that the business manufacture have the appropriate level of Mechanical innovation and engineering control in their inception
	<li>A core element of this is the demonstration of “appropriate practices” for design and engineering, and coaching and monitoring of the engineering team to ensure high standards are adopted and maintained
	<li>Provide authority to the delivery of “brilliant” solutions for commercially successful products by being diligent, yet creative, product and process focused
	<li>Working collaboratively with the Solutions Architecture, Sales and Project Management functions

Principal Design Engineer 

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be representing a leading engineering services organisation who deliver engineering products for the energy, materials and heavy engineering industries. They are looking for a Project Engineer to join their team due to high demand. 
 
The Project Manager oversees the full project lifecycle and is responsible for delivering the scope (in line with the client contract) as per the agreed budget and schedule, whilst ensuring the target margin is realised. They are a key figure within the business; driving progress across a number of different departments to ensure our projects are executed in line with our company policies, processes and objectives. 
 
The Project Manager monitors progress, leads project reviews, drives completion, and summarizes project status into internal and external project reports. They are also the main point of contact for the client. 
 
Key Responsibilities of a Project Manager

Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.
